We are pleased to confirm that a Spaniel Training assessment day (Spaniel Day) will be held at Blackwater Farm, on Saturday 11th September 2021 from 0930-1600 (approx.) by kind invitation of the Club’s Vice-President, Mr David Sayer.

Spaniel Day is aimed at those who have attended the summer training evenings, but also other club members at the training stage with their dog. The day will consist of a set of Exercises testing all basic skills where the dog and handler are assessed and feedback and guidance from the assessors will be provided to handlers.

This is not a competition although the aim is that after the mornings exercises are completed the most advanced dogs will have an opportunity to take part in a short mock Gundog Working Test and all attendees are encouraged to spectate.

Based on previous years, Spaniel Day is an informal and relaxed training day and allows handlers to put into practice some of the skills they have learnt and hopefully the opportunity to learn more. The afternoons mock test will give new members an insight into other club activities and hopefully encourage newer members to get more involved.

Housekeeping for the day: Please bring your own lunch, drinks, refreshments and of course water for your dog(s).
